MEET OUR PROGRESSIVE IMAGE CLIENTS

Progressive Image (PRi) clients presented their organization during Chapter. This year’s clients include TV-10, BraiZe, and United Way of McLean County. 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dues

Member dues are $80 for the calendar year. Oct. 6 is the last day to submit dues. Benefits include leadership positions, national conference, agency tours, and more. 

National Conference
 
National Conference run from November 6 to 10 and is $310 for dues-paying members. Members can sign up until October 2. See Andrea with any questions. 

Leadership Positions

Applications for leadership positions are due Tuesday, Sept. 8 at midnight. Members can apply by sending in a cover letter and resume to the account. 

ISU Football Concessions 

We are still looking for volunteers for concessions stands on Saturday, Sept. 12. Volunteers need to wear black pants and closed-toed shoes. All funds will go toward National Conference. Concessions will provide members with a shirt and a hat. 

Mentor-Mentee Social

On Sunday, Sept. 13 at noon, there will be a mentor-mentee social at Krista’s apartment. Her apartment is located at 603 S. Main St. Apartment 1. There will be a reveal of mentors and mentees. Please bring the food you signed up for. 

Volunteer Opportunity

On Tuesday, Sept. 15, United Way of McLean County is looking for volunteers for a change drive at the McDonald’s on Main Street. Members can sign up for one-hour time slots from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. See Tyler K. with any questions. 

Speaker 

Sherri Fishman, President and Owner of Fishman Public Relations will speak in COM 178 at 9:35 a.m. in CVA 145. Fishman will speak about agency public relations. 

Potbelly Fundraiser

On Tuesday, Sept. 22, PRSSA is having a National Conference fundraiser at Potbelly on Main Street. 25 percent of a meal will go to National Conference when members present the flyer. 

PRSA Dinner

The first Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) dinner will be on Wednesday, Sept. 23. We will be leaving at 4:30 p.m. at the Bone circle drive. This is a great networking event for members and to learn more about public relations. Talk to Andrea with any questions.

March of Dimes

The Signature Chef’s Auction is on Thursday, Oct. 1in the Brown Ballroom from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Volunteers are asked to wear business casual clothes. 

Tour

Our first tour of the year will be on Friday, Sept. 25. Members will tour State Farm and Caterpillar. To attend, please bring $10 for gas money. 

T-shirt Quilt

Bring any unused ISU t-shirt to Andrea for the quilt. Members who donate a shirt will receive one MIP. The quilt will be raffled later to fundraise for National Conference. 

Social Media Raffle Winner

Congratulations to Kelly Larson for winning the raffle and a $25 gift card to Chipotle. 

Workshop

On Tuesday, Sept. 15, executive board will present “What Not to Wear.” Members will learn about appropriate clothing for agency tours and networking events. 

Chapter Gear

T-shirts will be $15. Members can sign up for a shirt after Chapter.
