It’s that time of year to start searching for and applying to internships to gain real-world experience. Internships are the best thing to help build your resume and expand on what you are learning in the classroom. As a dues-paying member, you have access to internship opportunities provided at the national level. We also provide our members with updated internship applications at our weekly meetings.

Allstate is looking to fill their full-time, paid summer internship at their headquarters in Northbrook Ill. The internship will focus on corporate communications across the region. The Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development is looking for an intern for the 2018-19 school year. The position is right on campus, counts for elective credit and has a commitment of about 10 hours per week. Learn more here.

CENTRAL ILLINOIS PRSA
The Central Illinois chapter of PRSA (our parent organization) will have a dinner meeting Wednesday, April 25 in Bloomington-Normal at the Alumni Center. This month’s event will feature America’s Crisis Guru, Jim Lukaszewski. The meeting costs $25 for students and includes a full meal. You must sign up ahead of time, however you will pay at the door via cash or check (Note: if you sign up but do not attend the event, you will still be responsible for paying the $25 as this fee goes toward the meals prepared for the event).
