PRSSA OPEN MEETINGS

It’s that time of year to start searching and applying to internships to gain real-world experience that will build your resume and expand on what you are learning in the classroom. As a dues-paying member, you have access to internship opportunities provided at the national level. We also provide our members with updated internship applications at our weekly meetings.

Allstate is looking to fill their full-time, paid summer internship at their headquarters in Northbrook Ill. The internship will focus on corporate communications across the region. Weber Shandwick, the other PR agency we visited, is also looking for summer interns. Weber is one of the biggest PR agencies in the world and mainly focuses on business-to-business PR. Applicants must be graduating seniors. Apply here.
The Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development is looking for an intern for the 2018-19 school year. The position is right on campus, counts for elective credit and has a commitment of about 10 hours per week. Learn more here.

The highest honor a PRSSA member can receive, this award recognizes students who display outstanding academic excellence in public relations and leadership qualities within their PRSSA Chapter.

If you possess leadership and professional skills, have a strong understanding of PRSSA and are an active PRSSA member on the Chapter and national level, consider applying for the National President’s Citation.
