CAREER WORKSHOP
 
Mark Fauble, Career Advisor at the Career Center, spoke about the public relations field, resumes, and cover letters. Mark’s email is mbfaubl@ilstu.edu to ask more questions.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
 
MEMBER DUES
 
Member dues are $70 for the semester, $80 for the year, and $65 for graduating seniors. Dues work with $50 going to Nationals and the $20, $30, or $15 going to the Chapter. Benefits include regional conference, agency tours, internship database, and many more. The final day to turn in dues is Tuesday, Feb. 23.  Email Tyler at tmkrivi@ilstu.edu for additional information about membership benefits.
 
THE X FACTOR
 
DePaul PRSSA invited ISU PRSSA to attend “Creativity Forum: The PR X Factor” on Friday, Feb. 26 from 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Attendees will be able to attend two agency tours as well as two breakout sessions. The cost is $15 before Feb. 15 and $20 after Feb. 15. Learn more about the event here.  
 
PRSA DINNER
 
There will be a  PRSA Dinner on Wednesday March 2 at 6 p.m at The Alumni Center. The topic of the night is social media planning and measurement. The cost is $30.
 
DONATE FOR LIFE TEAM
 
The Donate for Life Team is responsible for coordinating the Gift of Hope event in April. ISU PRSSA won third place at National Conference for the dedication the team put in. Email the account if you are interested.
 
T-SHIRT QUILT
 
Members can purchase tickets for $1 for one ticket, $4 for five tickets, and $8 for 10 tickets. The winner will be announced next week during Chapter.
 
MEMBER OF THE WEEK

On Tuesday, Feb. 16, The Career Center will host the Spring Internship Fair in the Brown Ballroom from 4-7 p.m.
