SPEAKER

Marketing and Communication Manager for United Way of McLean County, Ali Seys spoke to the Chapter about life after PRSSA and how PRSSA helped her in the professional world .

Vice President

Congratulations to Ali Geary becoming the Chapter’s vice president. 

Member Dues

Member Dues are $80 for the calendar year. Opportunities include traveling to National Conference, agency tours, PRSA dinners, leadership positions, and networking events. The deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 6. Please write checks to “ISU PRSSA.”

National Conference

National Conference is a four-day networking and professional development event in Atlanta. Registration is $310 for dues-paying members. Members can sign up until Oct. 2. See Andrea with any questions. 

COM 178 Interviews

Executive board will be holding interview sessions for students in COM 178. Interviews will start at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays before Chapter.

PRSA Dinner

Please leave ISU by 4:30 p.m. to arrive on time for the dinner. 

Potbelly Fundraiser

Thanks for coming! 

March of Dimes  

On Thursday, Oct. 1 March of Dimes will host the annual Signature Chef’s auction in the Brown Ballroom. Please dress business casual and arrive at the bone by 4:30 p.m. 

Family Weekend

We are looking for two to three volunteers for our booth at Family Weekend from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Email the account if you are interested. 

Internships

Member of the Week

Congratulations to Jena Sullivan for becoming Member of the Week. 

Chapter Gear

Next week will be the last week to sign up for a Chapter shirt. The shirt will be $15. 

AP Style Workshop 

On Tuesday Sept. 29, Dr. Smudde will present AP style to our members. Please bring your APA and AP stylebooks next Tuesday.
