PRSSA OPEN MEETINGS
Attention COM 111 students! Tori will be holding open PRSSA meetings on Mondays from 4:30-5:30 on the 6th floor of Milner Library in the northwest corner. These meetings will not have an agenda, but they are your chance to ask questions and catch up on what is going on in PRSSA this semester aside from the Meeting Minutes. Questions? It’s that time of year to start searching and applying to internships to gain real-world experience that will build your resume and expand on what you are learning in the classroom. As a dues-paying member, you have access to internship opportunities provided at the national level. We also provide our members with updated internship applications at our weekly meetings.

Mueller, Reece and Hinche law office is looking for an intern with the potential for extended employment after the semester ends. Duties will include office reception and direct client interaction, as well as communicating with other law offices and attorneys; assisting the attorneys and other staff with preparing legal correspondence, wills and trusts, contract documents and pleadings, and court filings. The attorneys will also periodically invite the intern to accompany them to court to observe hearings and meet judges and courthouse personnel, and to observe real estate closings, will signings, and client consultations, as schedules permit and as appropriate with client consent under the principles of the attorney / client privilege. Registration for PRSSA’s 2018 National Conference in Austin, TX is now open through mid-September! The conference will take place Oct. 5-9. National Conference is an amazing opportunity to go on career tours, participate in workshops and leadership development, listen to guest speakers, network, and learn about a new city! SAIL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
The first annual SAIL conference is a one day student-centered leadership conference at ISU sponsored by the Dean of Students office. The conference will focus on topics surrounding inclusivity, collaboration and diversity. Students will also get the opportunity to network with students and professionals from other universities. This is a free event for ISU students on March 24, 2018 from 8:00-4:30. Members interested in running for an E-Board position are highly encouraged to attend. Register through March 19 here.
