As a dues-paying member, you have access to internship opportunities provided at the national level. We also provide our members with updated internship applications at our weekly meetings. Senator Richard Durbin offers an internship program for undergraduate students of all majors, and graduate and law students who are interested in experiencing the day-to-day operations of a Senator's office. Applications for Summer 2019 internships are now open! Internship opportunities are in Illinois and Washington, D.C. Tasks include conducting legislative research, assisting with casework matters, working with the press team and more. The public relations firm Ketchum is looking for interns for its 2019 Summer Fellows Program. During the internship, individuals will work with clients, participate in agency events, write client materials and more. Ketchum’s application process involves an interactive application game! The Wall Street Journal, an American news organization, is currently looking for interns for several summer 2019 internship positions. Internships are in New York and include a News Design Internship, Reporting Internships in the Americas, Video Internship, Magazine Internship and more. Applications are now being accepted for Summer 2019 Journalism and Communications Academic Internship Programs in Washington, DC. This program includes undergraduate academic credit from George Mason University, internship placement with a media or PR organization in the Washington, DC Metro Area, and fully-furnished on-campus housing. Possible internship sites include The Washington Times and The New York Times. Students who are members of PRSSA will be given priority consideration during the internship placement process. The O’Brien Team is an auto dealership group in town with four locations. This position will manage all social media platforms, attend events to take photos and more.
