Welcome back to campus redbirds! My name is Maggie Mokrzycki and I’m the 2022-2023 PRSSA chapter president.
I stumbled upon PRSSA by accident my freshman year and never looked back. When I decided to become a public relations major I had no idea what it entailed. I did know however, that I didn't want to be tied down to one field of work. I loved how seamless I could complete a minor that I was passionate about. Learning about fashion merchandising and public relations constantly reassured that these were my passions
PRSSA allowed us to see the endless potentials that awate after graduation. I immediately got as hands on as I could. The Vice President of the chapter reached out to me with the recommendation to apply for executive board. I took the chance and got the role of Vice President.
That year was a challenge for everyone. I had my first executive position and everything was online. I had to get creative with new ways to bring the professionals to us. Even with social distancing, I was able to successfully bring in guest speakers, professional panels and networking events. Being able to adapt under pressure is a unique skill that I’ve learned from these past four years here.
Public relations is ever evolving and so am I. It pushes the boundaries and strives for greatness all around.
I joined this organization my freshman year and have left my mark on various executive board positions. I’m so honored to be this chapter's president. PRSSA creates lifelong relations, grows professional confidence and opens the door to a large network of like-minded driven individuals. I am so proud of our executive board and can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.
PRSSA introduced me to some of the most driven people I’ve ever met that continue to inspire me. Never hesitate to reach out to me with anything! This is going to be a wonderful year!
