THE X FACTOR DePaul PRSSA invited ISU PRSSA to attend “Creativity Forum: The PR X Factor” on Friday, Feb. 26 from 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Attendees will be able to attend two agency tours as well as two breakout sessions. The event is sold out. JACK OF HEARTS SOCIAL There will be a social on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. The theme is “Jack of Hearts.” The location of the social is 605 Hester Ave. Apt. 2 Normal, Ill. 61761. PRSA DINNER There will be a PRSA Dinner on Wednesday March 2 at 6 p.m at The Alumni Center. The topic of the night is social media planning and measurement. The cost is $30. DONATE FOR LIFE TEAM The Donate for Life Team is responsible for coordinating the Gift of Hope event in April. ISU PRSSA won third place at National Conference for the dedication the team put in. There was a quick meeting after Chapter. INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES The Institute on Political Journalism looking for a summer intern. Participants can receive credit and take summer classes as well. The deadline to apply is March 16. You can view more information here. Edelman is looking for a summer intern. This opportunity is only available to graduating seniors. The internship lasts three months with a potential for an extension. You can view more information here. MEMBER OF THE WEEK Congratulations to Manny Carrera on becoming Member of the Week. PROPOSED REVISIONS TO ISU CONSTITUTION. Next week, dues-paying members will vote on proposed changes to the ISU PRSSA. The change passed with 18 to 6. SPEAKER Kimi and Mike of Palace events will speak on event planning and the internship program.
