The exam cost is $150 and the recommended online study course is $50. Online study materials can also be found on www.prcertificate.org. The Certificate in Principles of Public Relations is the stepping stone to Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). If you are interested please contact Dr. Smudde: [email protected] INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: WGLT: WGLT is Blooming-Normal’s Public Media and a service to Illinois State University’s School of Communication. Internships are offered in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters to undergraduate students. Internships are unpaid but can be worth 3-5 credits depending on hours worked. Internship work areas include: music programming, photography, public relations and development, reporting (news and sports), and social media. Outstanding students who successfully complete an internship may be considered for part time employment. [email protected] EPIPHANY FARMS: Epiphany Farms is currently looking for a Public Relations and Marketing Intern. Interns work closely with the administration office on website development, social media marketing, menu and promotion development, and performing administrative tasks. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Tools, Adobe programs, social media platforms, and web design is a plus. Students pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Graphic Design, Business Management, or a related field are ideal candidates. Epiphany Farms is also looking for a Special Events intern. Interns in this field work closely with the Director of Special Events in planning and executing events on a variety of scales. *If you know of any internships that would be valuable for our members, please email [email protected] VOLUNTEER: GAMMA PHI CIRCUS We need volunteers for the Gamma Phi Circus on Friday, April 7 at 5 p.m., Saturday, April 8 at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.. Member you work two events will be entered into a drawing to win a $35 gift card. All money raised from the events will go directly toward funding the chapter for the upcoming year.
