One ticket is $1, five tickets are $4, and 10 tickets are $8. There is a sign-up sheet for tabling on Wednesday and Thursday. WORKSHOP NEXT WEEK On Monday, Nov. 2, Andrea and Audie will present an InDesign workshop in Fell 52 at 6 and 6:30 p.m. There are only 15 slots available per session. ANNOUNCEMENTS DUES Today, Tuesday, Oct. 20, is the last day to pay dues. Membership includes going to National Conference, agency tours, leadership positions, and networking events. NATIONAL CONFERENCE National Conference is Nov. 6 – 10 in Atlanta this year. Please send any flight information to Andrea. T-SHIRT QUILT The t-shirt quilt is finished. ANNOUNCEMENTS DUES Members dues are $80 for the calendar year and $70 for the semester. Becoming a member allows you to gain more professional development networking opportunities throughout the year. The new deadline for dues is Tuesday, Oct. 20. CERTIFICATION TEST Members have the opportunity to earn their Certificate in Principles of Public Relations after graduation. The entry-level certificate demonstrates that members know the fundamentals of public relations. LOUIS TOUR This Friday, Oct. 16, members can travel to St. Louis to tour Flieshman Hillard, Osborn Barr, and The Sports Commission office. We are looking for drivers for Friday. The cost is $10 for gas. NIU / OLIVET NAZARENE SOCIAL NIU’s and Olivet Nazarene's Chapter of PRSSA will visit our Chapter on Saturday, Oct. 17 for a social at Rader Family Farms. The cost is $8 per person. CONCESSIONS STANDS We are still looking for 12 – 15 people to volunteer at the concessions stands on Saturday, Oct. 24. Volunteers need to commit to the whole time. Shifts start at 9:30 a.m. to athird quarter. Proceeds will go to National Conference. SAND VOLEYBALL TOURNAMENT On Saturday, Oct. 25 from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m., United Way of McLean County will host a sand volleyball tournament at Gill Street. The cost is $80 for a team. Certification Test The Universal Accreditation Board is offering the Certificate in Principles of Public Relations to members who are within 6 months of graduation, taking a preparatory class, and $150 fee for the test. March of Dimes Thanks for volunteering! Social On Saturday, Oct. 10, students can attend the first social of the year for $10. The theme is luau. Sand Volleyball Tournament United Way of McLean County is hosting a sand volleyball tournament on Sunday Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pheasant Lanes. The champion game will be at 4:30 p.m. Teams can have six to eight players. Email Ali Seys at [email protected] for more information or to sign up.
