Tour

Our last tour of the year is Friday, April 17. We will tour Weber Shandwick and Golin. We will meet at the Bone Student Center circle drive. Please bring cash for parking and money for lunch. 

Social

We have a social Saturday, April 18 in Uptown Normal and Downtown Bloomington. You must be at least 21 years old to attend. Shirts are $12 if you signed up for one. You may give your money to either Lauren or Calysta. 

Mentor-Mentee Social

We have a mentor-mentee picnic at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 19 at the Friendship Park on University.

Panel

COUNTRY Financial executives will  participate in a panel hosted by the College of Business and Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity about corporate information security governance at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 in the Caterpillar Auditorium of the College of Business.

Fundraiser

We need six to eight members to run concessions at the Gamma Phi Circus on Friday, April 17 starting at 5 p.m., and Saturday, April 18 starting at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. We get to keep 10 percent of sales. Please wear black pants and closed-toed shoes. If you have any questions, ask Katelyn Jelley.

Outstanding Senior Award

Congratulations to Melissa Guerra, our recipient of the Outstanding Senior Award, for her participation and engagement in the Chapter.

Gift of Hope

Gift of Hope promotes the benefits of organ donations and registers new donors. Our event is 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Wednesday, April 15. Please email the account if you are interested in volunteering. 

PRSA Dinner 

The next PRSA dinner is 6 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at the Bone Student Center. It is $25 to attend. Will Koch from COUNTRY Financial will speak about the social media crisis response to help tornado victims in Washington, Ill. Please email the account or talk to Frank if interested in attending. 

Tour

Our last tour of the year is Friday, April 17. We will tour Weber Shandwick and Golin. A $10 deposit is needed to secure your spot, which will be returned to you the morning of the tour to give to your driver for gas. Please bring cash for parking and money for lunch. We have a masquerade-themed social at 8 p.m. this Saturday, April 11 at apartment 23 at the Lodge. Wristbands are $10 and can be paid for at the door. Sign up with Lauren or Calysta if interested in attending.

PRSSA Awards

The Zenith Awards is a competition for strategic communication students to enter work previously completed in a class or an internship. There are seven submission categories to which work can be submitted – Public Relations Writing, Public Relations Campaigns, Public Relations Publications, Electronic Media, Case Studies, Social Media, and Public Relations Research. The due date is April 17at 5 p.m., and the winners will be announced in a digital awards ceremony on April 27.
