Classes will be taught by professors in English and will explore multicultural competence and communication, the legal financial, and political aspects of the Eurozone, and European cultures from the business perspective. The 4-week program also includes excursions to selected destinations in The Netherlands, including Amsterdam. If you are interested in learning more, there will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Fell Hall 446. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Smudde: [email protected] INNOVATION CONSULTING COMMUNITY: The Innovation Consulting Community (ICC) guides students in developing a creative mindset to provide solutions to complex problems and devise innovative strategies to the for profit and not-for-profit sectors working with ICC. Employers want to hire students who possess skills developed through ICC including: professionalism, work ethic, oral and written communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving. BATEMAN CASE COMPETTION: The Bateman Case is PRSSA’s premiere national case study competition for public relations students. This is an opportunity for students to apply their education and experience as they work towards developing a campaign to change the culture of mental health in America. PRSSA is currently searching for a team of 4 to 5 dues-paying members. The team must register by Nov. 7. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in joining the team! INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: General Motors (GM) in currently accepting applications for its summer 2017 internship in Detroit. Intern roles include media relations, internal communications, speech writing, event planning, and other aspects of public relations. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be currently pursuing a degree in communications, journalism, or public relations (preferably), and be willing to relocate as job assignments will be located in metro Detroit. The deadline for the application is Oct. 25. GM recruiters will also be on site at National Conference.
