Opporutnities include National Conference, agency tours, PRSA dinners, leadership positions, and networking events. The deadline is Oct. 6. Please write check to “ISU PRSSA” National Conference National Conference is a professional development and networking event in Atlanta from Nov. 6 – 10. March of Dimes The Signature Chef Auction is this Thursday, Oct. 1 in the Brown Ballroom from 4:30 – 7:40 p.m. Please wear business casual if you are volunteering. Family Weekend This Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to noon, we are looking for volunteers to be at our booth for Family Weekend. Please email the account if you are interested. Development Leadership Congratulations to Megan Rubinger on becoming Fundraising Chair and Katie Rio on becoming Social Chair. Social We will have our first social on Saturday, Oct. 10. The theme is a luau. Sand Volleyball Tournament United Way of McLean County is hosting a sand volleyball tournament on Sunday, Oct. 11. Teams can have up to eight players. Email Ali Seys at aseys@uwaymc.org for more information. NIU Social On Saturday Oct. 17, we will host a social with NIU’s Chapter of PRSSA to meet other members in the state. The social is at Rader Family Farms. Social Media Our posts are reaching about 1,500 people. See Tyler F. to get more involved in social media for the Chapter. Opportunity If you are interested in becoming the PR Chair for ISU Alternative Spring Break, let Tyler K. know. Alternative Breaks occur over the winter, fall, and spring breaks where ISU students perform service project in cities around the US. Workshop Next Week Next Tuesday, Oct. 6, members will learn how to create elevator pitches when networking with professionals.
