It is a great way to get involved and improve leadership skill. If you have any concerns, please talk to anyone or executive board or Dr. Smudde. Interviews will be scheduled in the order they are received. COM Week 2015 COM Week 2015 is April 6–9 with 15 panels and five keynotes. This year’s theme is “Inspiring Innovation.” Download the official Illinois State University app for free in the iOS App Store or Google Play Store and retrieve the COM Week 2015 Guide. The Career Institute is from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, April 9 in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center. You may pre-register here. Speaker Rory Swikle, vice president at Ogilvy Public Relations, will speak before Chapter at 7 p.m. next Tuesday, April 7 as a part of COM Week. Chapter will continue as usual at 8:15 p.m. If you are not attending the speaker, please wait in the hall until the session is over. Gift of Hope Gift of Hope promotes the benefits of organ donations and registers new donors. Our event is 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 15. Please email the account if you are interested in volunteering. PRSA Dinner The next PRSA dinner is 6 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at the Bone Student Center. It is $25 to attend. Will Koch from COUNTRY Financial will speak about the social media crisis response to help tornado victims in Washington, Ill. Tour Our final tour of the year is Friday, April 17. We will tour Weber Shandwick and Golin. A $10 deposit is needed to secure your spot, which will be returned to you the morning of the tour to give to your driver for gas. Please bring cash for parking and money for lunch. The location and time is still to be determined. Social We will hold a social Saturday, April 18 in Uptown Normal and Downtown Bloomington. You must be at least 21 years old to attend. Please sign up with your t-shirt size with Calysta Will. Shirts will cost between $10-15 depending on the number of attendees. The deadline for shirt orders is this Friday. Student Alumni Reception There is an opportunity for students and alumni to join together for an evening of socializing and networking from 6:30 to 8 p.m. next Friday, April 10 in the Prairie Room of the Bone Student Center. Crean Memorial Arts Award Competitors must produce public performances that combine a musical component with two other mediums, including visual, performing, or digital arts. There is an opportunity for students to win up to $750. Award recipients will be chosen April 23 in CVA 110. Judges will choose first, second, and third place winners.
