As a dues-paying member, you have access to internship opportunities provided at the national level. We also provide our members with updated internship applications at our weekly meetings. Duties will include office reception and direct client interaction, as well as communicating with other law offices and attorneys; assisting the attorneys and other staff with preparing legal correspondence, wills and trusts, contract documents and pleadings, and court filings. The attorneys will also periodically invite the intern to accompany them to court to observe hearings and meet judges and courthouse personnel, and to observe real estate closings, will signings, and client consultations, as schedules permit and as appropriate with client consent under the principles of the attorney / client privilege. The conference will focus on topics surrounding inclusivity, collaboration and diversity. Students will also get the opportunity to network with students and professionals from other universities.
